“Securing a spot for the Regional Meet is a dream come true. I am very happy that I was able to win a gold medal in the Provincial Meet since this is my last year to compete and represent my beloved E.B. Magalona and Area III in the higher meets,” the athlete froms from Barangay Tabigue said.
Yngson has been competing in athletics since Grade 6, but because of the pandemic, he wasn’t able to continue his training.
“But when I heard that there will be sports meet again, I did not waste a single day to train and be the best athlete that I can be,” he said.
His coach, Aldin Arcangel, said that he saw Yngson’s hard work and commitment to perform his best in all his sports events.
“Sir James Madrid, Sir Adonis Salumag, and I are very proud to have Jose Marie in the Area III Athletics Team,” Arcangel added.
Yngson offers his medals to God, and dedicates his wins to his parents, family, friends, coaches, and everyone who supported and believed in him.
Yngson also thanked Mayor Marvin Malacon and Barangay Kagawads Association of Saravia (BAKAS) president Matthew Louis Malacon for sponsoring his javelin and throwing shoes, that he used at the Provincial Meet.*
