“I will not go back to politics, I’m tired, really tired, tapos na ako (I’m done)”, former president Rodrigo Duterte said Tuesday night, January 23.
Duterte spoke at the 90th birthday of Olivia Yanson, matriarch of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies, at Villa Olivia in Bubog, Talisay City in Negros Occidental.
He said he would not go back to politics after initially saying in jest: “I hope if I run for the Senate you will support me”.
The former president also thanked the Yanson family and Negrenses present for their support during his presidency.*
