It was a dual celebration for a couple set to tie the knot on Valentine’s Day in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.
The bride gave birth on the same day.
Lendon Alonsabe Mondia, 22, and Xyrha Mae Laraya, 18, of Sitio Can-amo, Brgy. 6., were set to join six other couples in a Kasalan ng Bayan to be administered by Moises Padilla Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia Yulo at her office on Wednesday, February 14.
However, Laraya had to be rushed to the Municipal Health Office to give birth.
The mayor followed them to the MHO where she administered their wedding rites, after performing the same for the six other couples at her office.*
