DSWD: 58,360 WV 4Ps households reinstated, to be paid retroactively

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced on Tuesday, October 25, that 58,360 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries in Western Visayas deactivated from the program, have been reinstated.

Among those reinstated in the 4Ps program are 11,480 beneficiaries in Negros Occidental and 3,831 in Bacolod City, Belen Gebusion, DSWD Western Visayas 4Ps head, said during a DSWD Media Forum at Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City.

Reactivated from Aklan are 6,034, Antique – 3,433, Capiz – 13,723, Guimaras- 2,528 and Iloilo – 17,331.

On top of receiving their 4Ps payouts starting October, they will also be paid retroactively from January to September, Gebusion said.

The minimum monthly payment for a family with one child is P1,650 for a total of P14, 850 from January to September, she said.

The maximum monthly payment for a family with three children is P3,450 for total back pay of P31,050, she added.

The 58,360 were reinstated after it was determined that they still needed government assistance, Gebusion said.

The active 4Ps households in Western Visayas were 369,242, with 142,511 from Negros Occidental and 11,849 from Bacolod City as of October 8.*
