The Provincial Veterinary Office strengthened the implementation of districtalized animal health extension services through the delivery of veterinary drugs and biologics worth P1.5 million to its six district field units which soon to be known as the Abanse Negrense District Animal Health Centers (ANDAHC).
The veterinary drugs and biologics to be distributed include anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic, vitamin and mineral supplements as well as vaccines for common livestock and poultry diseases such as rabies, hog cholera, new castle disease, and infectious coryza.
This will also answer to the high mortality rate of chickens due to New Castle Disease (NCD) noted in Sitio Minnesota, Brgy. Sag-ang, La Castellana as well as other sporadic diseases spreading in the rest of the province.
The PVO district field units headed by district veterinarians will conduct veterinary medical missions in the different barangays of their respective jurisdiction to provide the necessary veterinary care and services needed by the pet owners and livestock and poultry raisers.

ANDAHC will serve as the satellite center of the Provincial Animal Learning Park and Hospital and will form part of the Provincial Veterinary Office District Filed Unit (PVO-DFU) for veterinary health care and services to animals, and clients in the respective area of jurisdiction.
The supplies delivered are aimed to prevent and control the occurrence of endemic animal diseases in the province and also to enhance the production performance of our poultry and livestock.*
