The elected officials of Bacolod City led by Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and Mayor Greg Gasataya will take their oaths of office at the Bacolod City Government Center 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28.
Gasataya is expected to take his oath before Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
“Bacolod, through your love and unwavering support we are now entering a new chapter of service, heart, and unity. It would be one of my greatest joys to take my oath before my dearest Bacolodnons and no other than the Secretary of DILG, Sec. Jonvic Remulla”, Gasataya said in a Facebook post.
Benitez will take his oath before Barangay 18 Punong Barangay Madeline Diaz, Vice Mayor Claudio “Kalaw” Puentevella before Taculing Barangay Captain Lady Gles Pallen – president of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas – Bacolod City Chapter, and the city councilors before Judge Juvy Victoriano-Dioso.
The 12 elected councilors are Caesar Distrito, Israel Salanga, Em Ang, Jude Thaddues Sayson, Jason Villarosa, Celia Matea Flor, Dindo Ramos, Roberto Rojas, Wilson Gamboa Jr., Pao Sy, Homer Bais and Al Victor Espino.*
