The Department of Education Negros Island Region (DepEd NIR) is calling on parents to register their incoming Kindergarten and Grades 1, 7, and 11 children for the 2026-2027 school year.
Parents or guardians should proceed to the public school where they intend to enroll their children, fill out the basic education pre-registration form, and submit it along with documents to prove the learner’s credentials, such as a birth certificate.
Early registration will end on Feb. 27, DepEd NIR spokesperson Almyr Caezar Dequiña said.
The purpose of early registration is to enable the DepEd to plan in advance for the number of teachers, classrooms, and learning materials required.
The end-of-school-year rites will be held on March 30 and 31.*
