The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Negros Island Region (DENR-NIR) is adopting the four-day flexible work arrangement (FWA) from Jan. 5 to March 27.

The pilot implementation of the FWA – Scheme B in the regional, provincial, and community environment and natural offices in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor is stated in a special order issued by Regional Executive Director Charlie Fabre in accordance with DENR Department Administrative Order 2025-34 and pursuant to agreements reached during the online meeting held on Monday.

FWA B refers to a compressed workweek arrangement, with work days set from Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 10 hours daily.

“This special order shall take effect immediately and remain in force during the pilot implementation period, subject to evaluation and further directives from the DENR central office,” Fabre said.

In a Facebook post, the DENR-NIR advised clients and stakeholders to transact on the official working days and hours.

On Fridays, however, the DENR-NIR will facilitate the delivery of critical services to the public by implementing the online frontline services system at http://58.69.224.113/fmi/webd/ofss-nir.

“It will also be available on the official Facebook page (DENR Negros Island and Siquijor Region), which has been created to assist in addressing queries and concerns, with designated focal persons assigned to handle and respond to them,” Fabre said.*
