A delivery rider on board a motorcycle died after he was bumped by a truck carrying sugarcane along the Isabela-La Castellana Road in Brgy. Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, early Wednesday morning, Feb. 19.
The police said alias “Jeric”, 24, of Brgy. 9, Isabela, died after his motorcycle was bumped by a truck driven by alias “Henry”, 42, of Brgy. Robles.
Investigation revealed that the victim was driving his motorcycle towards La Castellana when he tried to avoid sugarcane that fell along the road.
He allegedly swerved out of his lane and was bumped by the truck.
The victim was brought to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival while the driver of the truck surrendered to the police.
The police are now waiting for the victim’s family to decide whether to file a case against the truck driver or not.*
