The police are working to identify a man whose decomposing body was discovered floating in the Bago River on Sunday afternoon, December 28.
A concerned citizen alerted officers at approximately 5:30 p.m. regarding a cadaver spotted near Purok Narra, Barangay Malingin, the police said.
The witnesses reported seeing a body in the middle of the river, lying face down. The victim was described as half-naked, wearing only a pair of red shorts.
The police said the body was already in an advanced state of decomposition.*
