An employee of the Department of Agrarian Reform was shot dead by unidentified suspects in Purok Sandia, Brgy. Mambaruto, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, on Monday, July 8.
Andre Maria Pajarillo, 57, a senior agrarian reform program technologist of the DAR office in Sipalay and a resident of Brgy. East Proper, Candoni, was shot in the head twice, the police said.
The victim was riding his motorcycle going to the city proper when he was shot by an unidentified suspect.
Recovered from the crime scene were two fired 9 mm bullets, the police said.
The victim’s brother said he was friendly and church-going person. The shooting was believed to be work-related.
The victim is survived by his wife and three kids, one is through school while the two others are still studying, his brother said.*
