Criminologist first to be hired through Negros Jobs online portal

A licensed criminologist from La Carlota City landed a job through the Negros Jobs online portal a week after its launching, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said on Friday, Dec. 19.

Roland I. Broce is the first successfully hired applicant through the Negros Jobs Online Portal.

Broce, 27, landed a job with iProcess Liaison and Consultancy.

Broce, a licensed criminologist, had been unemployed for four months and had been looking for a job since August.

He said that when he scanned the QR code, he found it easy to navigate the portal. He then went through the application process online, and after a week, he was hired as a Business Development Officer.

Broce said t he is happy that he can now support his partner and his 2-year- old daughter.

Currently, there are 21 registered employers, 36 active jobs, 3,219 active jobseekers, 191 are scheduled for interview, 8 qualified applicants, and 766 with pending applications, Diaz said.
