A couple died after their multicab was hit by pick-up truck at the national highway in Brgy. Cabangahan, Siaton, Negros Oriental, on Friday, June 13.
Joselito Eluna , 42, driver of the multicab, and his wife Janice, 42, a day care worker, of Brgy. Mayabon, Zamboanguita, died, the police said.
Their multicab was hit by a pick-up truck driven by alias “Anastacio”, 82, of Bacong town also in Negros Oriental.
Investigation revealed that the pick-up truck allegedly went to the opposite lane at a curve in the road where the multicab was traversing causing the incident, the police said.
The victims sustained serious injuries and were brought to the hospital but were declared dead on arrival.
The police are waiting for the family of the victims to decide whether they will file charges.*
