Col. Joeresty Coronica is now officially the Bacolod City police director, and is no longer serving in just an acting capacity.
After a month at the helm of the Bacolod City Police Office in an acting capacity, Coronica was appointed as the City Police Director on Aug. 27, a BCPO press release said Saturday, August 31.
He replaced Col. Noel Aliño, who was assigned as regional director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in the National Capital Region.
During Coronica’s first month as acting city director, the BCPO seized about P4.9 million of suspected shabu and arrested 138 individuals in their anti-criminality campaign, the BCPO press release said.
Coronica’s proactive approach and strategic initiatives have already set a strong foundation for continued success in the city’s ongoing anti-criminality efforts, the press release said.
Coronica said he hopes that during his term, his leadership will motivate his personnel to do more to make Bacolod City safe to live and do business.*
