The police are determining if the two skeletal remains discovered in Hacienda Garcia at Purok 9, Brgy. Alangilan, Bacolod City, are those of missing persons from Brgy. Mansilingan.
Capt. Portal Nillosan, Police Station 5 chief, said that they will be bringing the skeletal remains to the forensics unit of the PNP for identification.
The skeletal remains that are believed to be of a male and female were found by farmers in a sugarcane field, Nilosan said.
Nillosan said that there are families who have gone to Police Station 5 to help identify the victims, one of them was a relative of the missing individual from Brgy. Mansilingan.
On Nov. 12, there were skeletal remains that were also found in the area that are still unidentified.
The police said three persons from Mansilingan were allegedly abducted last year and are still missing.*
