Four suspects were arrested, while one escaped, and P703,880 worth of suspected shabu was seized in separate buy-bust operations in three cities and a town in Negros Occidental on Monday, July 24, the police reported on Tuesday.
High value target Begie Soreño, 50, was arrested in a buy-bust operation and 88 grams of suspected shabu worth P598,400 was seized in Purok Kabulakan II, Barangay Singcang Airport, Bacolod City, 7:48 p.m. Monday, the police reported.
Meanwhile, a suspect was arrested while one evaded a buy-bust operation in Sitio Bat-os, Brgy. 3, Victorias City, Monday night.
Dominic Ann Fuentes, 25, was arrested while Marisol Fuentes escaped the arrest, the police said.
Recovered was suspected shabu weighing 12 grams with an estimated price of P88,000, Capt. Genus David, Victorias Police deputy chief, said.
He also said that charges will be filed against the two suspects and that the police is seeking a warrant of arrest against Fuentes.
Jerald Besas, 34, was also arrested in Purok Lagang, Brgy. Zone 3, Talisay City, Monday afternoon.
Recovered from him was suspected shabu weighing three grams with an estimated price of P20,400, the police reported.
Ramel Basa, 41, of Sitio Tugbungan, Brgy. Andulauan, Ilog town, was also arrested in a buy-bus operation.
Recovered from him was 0.6 gram of suspected shabu worth P4,080, the police said.*
