Cops nab San Carlos resident, seize over ₱170K worth of shabu

Police operatives arrested a 21-year-old man in a drug buy-bust operation along Ylagan Street, Barangay 6, San Carlos City, on Monday afternoon, December 29.

The suspect, identified by the alias “Epoy,” an unemployed resident of Barangay 6,  was apprehended by the San Carlos  Police Station Special Drug Enforcement Team.

The  arrest took place after the suspect sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police officer acting as a poseur buyer.

Following the transaction they recovered additional shabu from the suspect’s possession, the police said.

The total estimated weight of the seized drugs reached 25.21 grams valued at  ₱171,428.00, the police added.

The suspected drugs have been turned over to the Negros Occidental Provincial Forensic Unit for examination, while the suspect remains in the custody of the San Carlos police pending the filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
