
The police arrested three individuals, including two minors, in a buy-bust operation and seized suspected shabu worth P1.15 million and two firearms in Sitio Dacutan Dacu, Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental, Wednesday, January 10.
Fisherman Elmer Abela Jr., 42, and the two minors were arrested at about 9:54 a.m. Wednesday.
The police recovered 20 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing 170 grams with an estimated value of P1,156,000.
They also recovered a handmade shotgun, a .38 caliber revolver, a plastic bottle containing ammonium nitrate, an improvised tooter, and other non-drug items.
Abela is now detained at the Silay City Police Station, while the minors were turned over to the Silay City Youth Center.
The seized shabu and firearms were brought to Negros Occidental Provincial Forensic Unit-6 for examination.*
