Five persons engaged in a “Pahibag Damang (spider fight)” game were arrested for illegal gambling in Purok Woodstock, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29.
Police Station 8 cops arrested them for violating Presidential Decree 1602, which prohibits illegal betting, a Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) report said.
The suspects were identified only as alias Mark, Kim, Remark, Jefferson, and Garry of Brgy. Tangub.
The suspects are currently detained at Police Station 8 and will face charges for violating PD 1602, which imposes strict penalties on illegal gambling in the Philippines.
