
The fourth most wanted person in Western Visayas and an alleged member of the New People’s Army was arrested by the police in an operation in Villa Cecilla, Brgy. 1, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, Jan. 11.
Records showed that alias “Lando,” 42, a farmer and resident of Sitio Lower Mamballo, Bgy. Quintin Remo, Moises Padilla, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest.
The suspect is also a member of Yunit Militia under the dismantled Central Negros 1, Komiteng Rehiyon-Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor of the NPA.
The operation was led by the 2nd Negros Occidental Police Mobile Force Company together with the 62nd Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army, 604th Regional Mobile Force Battalion, and the Philippine Air Force.
They served the warrant of arrest to the suspect for murder, issued and signed by the presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in La Carlota City on Aug. 16, 2024 with no bail recommended.
The suspect is now under the custody of the police.*
