The police arrested a man with a gun and ammunition at the Panaad Access Road in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, on Monday, January 8.
Albert Emalon was arrested for violation of the Republic Act 10591 or the Guns and Ammunition Regulation Act, the police said.
Bacolod City Police Station 7 cops responded to a report that a suspicious person was roaming around the area.
Upon body search a .38 caliber revolver without serial number and ammunition were seized from Emalon, the police said.
The police said that they are looking at robbery hold-up as one of the possible motives of the suspect.
He is now detained at Police Station 7 and the recovered firearm will be forwarded to the Crime Laboratory.
Meanwhile, the police arrested Stepahnie Anoche Espinosa by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act in Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Monday night.
The warrant was issued by Judge Maria Mercedes Saril of the Regional Trial Court Branch 54 in Bacolod City.
Bail recommended was P2,000.*
