Five suspects were arrested and suspected shabu worth P224,400 was seized in buy-bust operations in two Negros Occidental cities on Independence Day, June 12, the police said.
Three men, whose names were withheld by the police, were arrested at the Relocation Site at Brgy. 9, Kabankalan City.
Seized from them were suspected shabu weighing 18 grams and estimated to cost P122,400, the buy-bust money and an improvised glass tooter with traces of suspected shabu.
They are now detained at the Kabankalan Police Station.
Tricycle and truck drivers were also arrested in an operation at Carabalan Road, Brgy. 2-Poblacion in Himamaylan City, the police said.
Recovered from them were 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams and estimated to cost P102,000, a homemade shotgun with ammunition, and a digital weighing scale.
They are detained at the Himamaylan Police Station.*
