A policeman died and others were injured when his motorcycle accidentally hit a tricycle along the highway in Hacienda Bernabe, Brgy. Salvacion, Murcia, Negros Occidental, Monday afternoon, February 26.
The fatality was identified as PCpl. Edward Peña, 36, of the Murcia Police Station.
Murcia Deputy Police Chief Rodney Sarona said that Peña was on his way home when he tried to overtake the tricycle causing his motorcycle to get entangled with it.
The police man lost his balance and fell on the road. He sustained head injuries and was declared dead at a hospital
The tricycle driver and his four passengers also sustained injuries.*
