The Commission on Elections is holding a roadshow of its vote counting machines at two malls in Bacolod City from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 26, Elections Officer Revo Sorbito said.
They will demonstrate how the VCMs work and let voters learn how to use them at Ayala Malls Capitol Central and Robinsons Place Bacolod, he said.
The Comelec led the removal of campaign materials of local and national candidates illegally posted in public places in Bacolod City on Friday.
Operation Baklas was conducted along Lacson and San Juan streets, he said.
Sorbito also warned that large tarpaulins are not allowed at campaign rallies.
Only 3 feet by 8 inches posters and streamers are allowed, he said.
Sorbito said he will be at the rallies of Bacolod Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia at the Bacolod Public Plaza and of mayoral candidate Alfredo “Albee” Benitez at the Paglaum Sports Stadium and will make a report on any violations of Comelec rules.*
