The police arrested six persons, including a college student, and seized P2.2 million worth of suspected shabu in buy-bust operations in six local government units in Negros Occidental from Sunday to Tuesday, June 25 to 27.
In Bacolod City P1,734,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated from a college student in a buy-bust operation Tuesday afternoon, the police reported.
The 19-year-old student from Brgy. 2, Bacolod City, was arrested by the police and seized were 50 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing 255 grams, the police said.
The police said they had been monitoring the suspect, tagged as a high-value target, for the past three weeks.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Gasalo, 40, a high-value target from Brgy. Binicuil, Kabankalan City, was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation on Monday.
Confiscated was 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000 and drug paraphernalia, the police reported.
Gasalo is now detained at the Kabankalan police station.
In Silay, Ramile Lozañes, 38, of Sto. Niño Ville Subdivision, Brgy. Mambulac, was also arrested by the police after they confiscated six grams of suspected shabu worth P40,800 in a buy-bust operation on Monday.
On Sunday, Jimmy Jayme, 42, of Brgy. Poblacion, Bago City, was also arrested in a buy-bust operation after the police seized 3.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P21,760.
Jesam Nicavera, 27, of Brgy. Masville, La Carlota City, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Tiglawigan, Cadiz City, where the police confiscated 0.5 gram of shabu worth P3,400.
In Hinigaran town, the police also arrested Mark Cubarobias, 40, a vendor at a Ceres terminal in Brgy. 4 in a buy-bust operation.
The police said they recovered shabu weighing 0.0488 gram valued at P3,318 from Cubarobias.*
