
The first Negros Occidental Coffee Fiesta generated P3 million in sales and was attended by about 4,000 Negrenses at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City from August 9 to 11.
The 26 coffee fiesta exhibitors reported total sales of P3,024,164 its organizers said.
They also recorded 4,388 attendees who consisted of farmers, students, producers, processors, traders, cafe owners, and the general public.
The event was led by the Negros Occidental Coffee Council in collaboration with the Mailum Organic Village Association and with support from the Department of Trade and Industry and the Negros Occidental Provincial Government.
The event was held to unite communities, promote sustainable coffee practices, and explore possibilities for the province’s coffee industry, its organizers said.*
