Gov. Manuel “Chaco” Sagarbarria ordered the cancellation of classes at all levels in Negros Oriental on Tuesday, Nov.25, due to Tropical Depression “Verbena”.
Bacolod Mayor Greg Gastaya also suspended classes at all levels in Bacolod City because of the orange heavy rainfall warning (100-200 mm) issued by the state weather bureau.
“Schools are encouraged to shift to modular distance learning performance tasks and projects to ensure that learning competencies are met,” he said.
Several other local government units in Negros Occidental have also suspended classes on Tuesday.*
