
Three Citicore project sites were recognized as top taxpayers of their respective local government units (LGUs).
On December 30 Silay City in Negros Occidental, named Citicore Negros Occidental as the LGU’s number 1 real property taxpayer of 2023.
This January, two more Citicore sites received LGU citations. On Jan. 6, Toledo City, Cebu, recognized Citicore Solar Cebu among its top 10 taxpayers for 2023 while the Municipality of San Ildefonso, Bulacan named Citicore Solar Bulacan as its 8th top taxpayer for 2024 last on 21 January, a press release from Citicore said Monday, Jan. 27.
“Economic growth is a shared responsibility between government, businesses and citizens. Paying taxes properly and on time is more than an obligation – it is one of the crucial ways we help LGUs implement programs and services in our localities,” said Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation President and CEO Oliver Tan.
Energy produced by Citicore’s 10 renewable energy facilities located across the country with a combined gross installed capacity of 285MW contributes to the country’s growing power needs.
The company’s social responsibility arm Citicore Foundation also supports host communities through programs that provide education, employment, and environmental support.*PR
