There will be power interruptions on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO) announced Wednesday, January 25.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will shut down its Bacolod-San Enrique 69kV line affecting CENECO’s Sum-ag and Lag-asan substations to replace wood polls and conduct maintenance work on Saturday.
CENECO will take advantage of this downtime by implementing simultaneous maintenance work, its acting general manager Arnel Lapore announced Wednesday, January 25.
The 12–hour Saturday power interruption will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., he said.

There will be a power interruption at the Alijis Feeder 3, which will cover a portion of Hermelinda Homes Subdivision, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Lapore also announced.
The interruption will be to allow the erection of one 35-foot concrete pole and the installation of a primary line assembly, and a one 50kVa private distribution transformer with its accessories, and the stringing of service wires, Lapore said.
There will also be a power interruption that will cover a portion of Villa Valderrama Subdivision from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
The interruption will allow the erection of a 35-foot concrete pole, extension of a one span 3-phase primary line, and installation of three 25kVa private distribution transformers with their accessories and service wires, Lapore said.*
