Vaccination at the Negros Residencies could resume early next week, Tumimbang said.
Acting Governor Jeffrey Ferrer had ordered a lockdown of provincial government offices for disinfection this week to curb the spread of COVID-19 among employees.

He said they have sent samples from COVID-19 positive persons in Negros Occidental to the Philippine Genome Center to determine if they had been hit by the Omicron variant.
They are thankful that many of those hit with COVID-19 lately are not severe cases requiring hospitalization, Tumimbang said.
