Capitol distributes 11 ambulances to enhance emergency response

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the ceremonial send-off of 11 ambulances to local government units in Negros Occidental at rites held at the Capitol grounds in Bacolod City on Wednesday, Jan 15.

The ambulances will be strategically prepositioned across Negros Occidental to enhance emergency response capabilities, a press release from the Capitol said.

The recipient LGUs include Don Salvador Benedicto, San Enrique, E.B. Magalona, Cadiz City, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Candoni, Valladolid, Cauayan, Isabela, and Toboso.

The mayors of the recipient LGUs were present at the activity held at the Provincial Capitol.

Each LGU received one Basic Life Support (Type 1) ambulance unit, equipped with essential medical tools and manned by trained drivers.

These efforts, spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, aim to ensure prompt and efficient Emergency Medical Services highlighting the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and improving healthcare access in the province, the press release said.*
