Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año administered the donning of rank and oath-taking of newly promoted Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Director, Chief Supt. Jerry D. Candido, at the DILG-National Police Commission Center in Quezon City, Friday, March 25.
The appointment Candido, who is from Bacolod City, to the rank of Chief Superintendent with 17 other BFP senior officers was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on March 8.
Candido is the first one-star general regional director of the BFP in Western Visayas.
On Thursday, a thanksgiving dinner and blessing of the newly promoted BFP generals was held at the Bulwagang Linsangan, BFP National Headquarters in Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City.*
