An unidentified person was found dead in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, Thursday morning, May 25.
The body was found in a rice field near the road at Crossing Tanduay, Brgy. Camindangan, the police said.
PLt. Anthony Saing, acting Sipalay police chief, said that a farmer found the body in his farm and immediately informed the police.
The dead man had wounds on his head and the left part of his body.
Some residents at Crossing Tanduay heard several gunshots at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, the police said.
An investigation is ongoing to identify the victim and find the suspect, Saing said.*
