The Philippine Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental has announced the temporary suspension of boat trips to and from Lakawon Island Resort and Spa in Cadiz City.
In its Sea Travel Advisory No. 44 on Tuesday, Nov. 11, the Coast Guard said all boat rides from Brgy. Cadiz Viejo Finger Port to the resort and vice versa, including all other water-related activities, are suspended until further notice due to the aftermath of recent typhoons.
The suspension was based on the cancellation request of Lakawon Island Resort Management as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and personnel.
The Coast Guard advised travelers and the public to await further announcements regarding the resumption of normal operations once weather and sea conditions improve.*
