
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Emergency Operations Center will go on Blue Alert starting Friday, April 10, to ensure the safety of the 30th Panaad sa Negros Festival in Bacolod City, which kicks off this Monday.
The Blue Alert will be in effect from 8 a.m. Friday until 8 a.m. on April 20.
Under this status, disaster response teams and medical personnel are placed on standby for immediate deployment, and the EOC is partially activated to provide 24/7 monitoring of the large crowds expected at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
A gun ban in Bacolod City will also be enforced from April 13 to 19.
The festival officially starts with a Thanksgiving Mass at 8 a.m. Monday.
The Food Security and Technology Fair, Organic Village, various trade and livestock exhibits, and the LGU pavilions will also open on Monday.
The opening ceremony will be held at the Panaad Stadium at 4 p.m., featuring the presentation of the Lin-ay sang Negros candidates. Evening highlights include the Best of Festival Dances (City Category) and a concert by Ben & Ben, followed by a fireworks display and the Battle of the Bands eliminations.
The schedule continues throughout the week, with the Best of Festival Dances Competition (Municipal Category) to be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14.
The Sexbomb show will take place at the stadium at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15.
The Lin-ay sang Negros Pageant Night is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, April 17, followed by the Panaad sa Negros Kapamilya Karavan 2026 at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.
Parokya Ni Edgar is set to perform at 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 19.
