Binalbagan gov’t worker stabbed dead in Isabela

A Binalbagan town government employee was stabbed and killed by an Isabela job order worker at Sitio Emma, Brgy. Camang-Camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental, at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 9. Killed was Jomarie Managuit Sarad, 49, a job order employee of the Binalbagan municipal government.

The suspect is Richard Antiquera Garcia, 29, of Brgy. Camang-Camang and a job order employee of the Isabela municipal government, a police report said.

Investigation revealed that the suspect and the victim had a heated argument at a store.

Garcia later returned to the store looking for Sarad, stabbed him in the stomach and fled, the police report said.

Sarad was rushed to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabala where he was declared dead.*
