Bacolod City will hold a “Bigjab Weekend” at the SMX Convention Center at SM City and Ayala Malls Capitol Central Saturday and Sunday, August 28 and 29.

The “Bigjab Weekend” aims to prioritize city residents belonging to the A1 to A5 categories, especially those who are unable to go to the vaccination sites during office hours or working days.

“Bigjab Weekend” will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a press release from the Bacolod Public Information Office said.

City Administrator Em Legaspi-Ang, Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF) executive director and COVID-19 Vaccination Council (CoVaC) coordinator, said local residents under the five categories who have registered online, may walk-in at any of the two vaccination sites this weekend.

“No need to wait for an appointment notification from CoVaC as long as they have completed their online registration,” Ang clarified.

Those qualified must bring any government-issued ID with Bacolod address, as well as confirmation of their online registration through tinyurl.com/bcdceironline, she said.

“Our goal is to make the vaccines available to as many Bacolodnons. This way, we keep our communities safe as well as our loved ones, Mayor Evelio Leonardia said.

On August 30, Bacolod City’s vaccination drive goes on a 24-hour shift as the EOC strategizes a plan of action to control the spread of Covid-19 infections and sustain the downtrend of cases.

Meanwhile, two stakeholders from the business sector and the academe thanked Leonardia following the conduct of vaccination drives for their workers and personnel, the press release said.

These are Teleperformance Bacolod and Trinity Christian School.

The city government’s vaccination drive has inoculated 409 of the more than 1,000 target employees of Teleperformance during a vaccination drive at Ayala Malls Capitol Central ont August 14.

On August 5, Teleperformance Bacolod was given a certificate of Safety Seal by the city government.
A vaccination drive was also conducted at Trinity Christian School (TCS) on Wednesday, August 25.*
