“Let us together belong to the Temple of God, believe in the Temple of God, and become the Temple of God”.
That was the call of Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula during the solemn dedication of the new St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Hacienda Clementina, Barangay Talubangi, Kabankalan City, on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
This Cathedral is God’s Temple, a sign of hope, and a demonstration of God’s faithful merciful love, Advincula said.
Kabankalan Bishop Louie Galbines thanked all those who helped build the Cathedral.
Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Lacson said the solemn dedication of the new cathedral is a celebration of the enduring faith, devotion, and unity of the people of Kabankalan — and all of Negros Occidental.
“May the new cathedral inspire us to live lives of service and compassion”, Lacson said.
The governor congratulated the faithful and clergy of the Diocese of Kabankalan led by Bishop Galbines for the prayers, dedication, and labor that have made the dream of the new cathedral a reality.*
