
In celebration of May – the month of flowers – the visual artists of Bacolod Arts, Cultural and Heritage (BACH) recently opened an exhibition of paintings in the main lobby of Bacolod City Government Center featuring blooms and foliage.
Themed Fleur la Belle (Beautiful Flower), the exhibition is being run in collaboration with the Negros Occidental Garden Club’s annual Santacruzan, headed by its president Lope ‘Nonoy’ Napao, a press release from NOGC said.
During the opening ceremony, Napao was joined by Tere Manalili, Bacolod Tourism Officer; Sandra Sycip, president of Circulo de Bacolod and Zeny Guzon, NOGC vice president. Sandy Solinap, President of BACH, formerly known as the Bacolod Cultural Foundation, served as the curator of the event.

The participating artists are Sony Golez, Maria Isabel, Cora Soriano, Mary Ann Colmenares, Nanette Milabo, Chin Guanzon, Ernie Claud, Pinky Lizares, Marj Masangkay, Shantyl Toralballa, Kyle Jocson, Angela Bendanillo, Monic Dela Cruz, Joy Gicana, Josie Gomez, Jenevieve Abeto, Revo Yanson and Gloria Magallanes-Loeb, each showcasing their unique art pieces.
The Fleur la Belle exhibition is open to the public and will run until Wednesday, June 4.*
