The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is holding a two-day License To Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) caravan and firearms registration at the 3rd floor of SM City mall from October 6 to 7.
Lt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, BCPO public information officer, said the activity will cater to those who want to secure a license to own and possess a firearm and to those who would like to register their firearms.
Applicants are advised to bring their duly notarized application forms to the venue for processing, he said.
Gabana said the BCPO is hoping that gun owners and licensees will procure all the necessary documents for them to become licensed and legitimate owners.
“The privilege of possessing a firearm comes with a huge responsibility. Responsible gun owners should know how and when to use their firearms if necessary,” he said.
He also said that BCPO is seeking to lessen the use of unlicensed firearms in any lawless activity.*
