BCPO to field mascots to bring joy to children

Mascots named “Patrolman Inasal” and “Patrolman MassKara” will be deployed by the Bacolod City Police Office around the city to engage with the community, especially with underprivileged children starting Monday, October 16.

The BCPO announced that the life-size mascots aim to strengthen police-community relations by bringing joy and happiness to the people.

The BCPO’s initiative specifically focuses on children who may not have access to regular means of entertainment or leisure activities.

By visiting their communities and engaging with them directly, the mascots will bring smiles to the faces of these children, the BCPO added.

The BCPO also said that the mascots were named after Bacolod’s well-known festivals, Inasal and MassKara, to symbolize the cultural heritage of the city and to incorporate a sense of pride and unity within the community.*
