BCPO names new traffic chief, reassigns several other officials

The Bacolod City Police Office has a new Traffic Management Unit (TMU) head, while several other officials were reassigned to new posts on Wednesday, July 2.

Maj. Elmer Bonilla, Bacolod Station 4 Commander, is the new TMU head.

Maj. Marc Joeil Reclamado, Station 5 commander, replaced Bonilla as Station 4 head, and Capt. Hazel Oropel, Deputy Force Commander of the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company, replaced Reclamado.

For the Headquarters Staff, Capt. Liberty Indiape, the former Public Information Officer and BCPO spokesperson, is now the acting head of Women and Children Protection Desk, while the former WCPD OIC Lt. Rowena Jean Magan was assigned as Deputy Commander of Station 10.

Lt. Meller Dionio, previously the Deputy Chief of the City Intelligence Unit, is now the new BCPO PIO.

“The reassignment is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening the overall performance of our personnel in the field,” Col. Joeresty Coronica, BCPO Director, said.

“We place our people where they are most needed and where they can best contribute to the mission of ensuring peace, order, and public safety,” he said.*
