Bayan Muna Negros spokesman Noly Rosales gave President Ferdinand Marcos a performance rating of two and Vice President Sara Duterte a zero on a scale of one to ten.
Rosales, along with other members of Bayan Negros, staged a protest in Bacolod City ahead of Marcos’s State of the Nation Address.
Marcos is a failure, Rosales said, because he failed to get a significant reduction on the tariff of Philippine goods entering the United States during his meeting with US President Donald Trump.
Rosales also pointed out that P220 billion supposedly spent by the government on flood control has not been felt by the people, no national wage hike has been granted to labor, and militarization in the countryside continues to sow fear among the farmers.
They cannot give a rating to the vice president because she does not work, Rosales said.
An impeachment trial should be held to compel Duterte to answer the allegations of her alleged misuse of the people’s money, he said.
The Supreme Court should give the Senate the freedom to proceed with the impeachment trial, Rosales said.*
