A man was arrested after he allegedly robbed a packaging supplies store of P50,000 in Brgy. Sto. Rosario, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, Saturday morning, March 23.
Arrested was alias “Marsma”, 59, of Brgy. Pacol, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
He declared a holdup and robbed the 46-year-old store owner, whom he hit on the neck with his firearm, the police said.
The victim and a security guard chased the suspect until they reached an eatery in Brgy. San Pedro where they saw the police and sought their help.
Policemen subdued the suspect and recovered from him a homemade revolver loaded with 9mm ammunition and the P50,000.
The suspect is now detained at the Binalbagan Police Station.*
