The scene of the crime in Brgy. Estefania*
A 33-year-old construction worker was found dead with 15 stab wounds near his home in Purok Sagrado II, Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, on Sunday, Sept. 21.
Maj. Marc Joeil Reclamado, Police Station 4 commander, said the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), who processed the crime scene, confirmed the multiple stab wounds sustained by the victim.
The suspect, a 44-year-old man, was arrested in a hot pursuit operation and is now under police custody.
He is facing murder charges.
Police are looking at a personal grudge as the motive.
In May this year, the suspect allegedly hacked the victim, leaving him injured, but the case was settled at the barangay level.*
