A man was electrocuted in Brgy. Zone 9, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, on Friday, June 23.
The victim was identified as Rolan Piano, 31, of Brgy. 16, Bacolod City, the police reported Sunday, June 25.
Rolito Piano, the brother of the victim, said Rolan climbed a mango tree to pick mangoes when he accidentally touched a livewire of Central Negros Electric Cooperative that caused his electrocution.
The victim was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, Bacolod City, by the Talisay City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office but was declared dead on arrival, the police report said.*
