A Bacolod Youth Lounge and Co-Working Space – a free public facility where young Bacolodnons can learn, grow, and find equal opportunities to thrive opened on Friday, Oct. 24, Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya said.
The facility will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day on the 3rd floor of the Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City.
“This facility is designed to give our youth a conducive environment for their ideas, hub for collaboration, and a safe space for guidance, support, and empowerment,” Gasataya said in a post on his Facebook page.
“Every young Bacolodnon, regardless of background, will have the same access to resources, mentorship, and opportunities to chase their dreams,” he said.
Services at the facility include lounge space, study space, free printing (PDF files only and no bulk printing), sharing sessions, wi-fi, meeting rooms, and coffee, the mayor said.
“This is our way of turning to our youth and saying: we believe in you,” he said.*
