The Bacolod City government will implement temporary road closures and traffic re-routing during the Undas from November 1 to 2.
The proposed traffic management plan submitted by Maj. Junji Liba, officer-in-charge of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, was approved by the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod during their regular session Wednesday, October 26.
Liba said that an appropriate systematic traffic management system aims to reduce traffic congestion during the celebration of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
From 6 a.m. of November 1 to 6 p.m. of November 2, there will be a road closure at the Burgos Public Cemetery along Burgos Street, from Lopez-Jaena to Ylac Streets.
The re-routing from 6 a.m. of November 1 to 6 p.m. of November 2 will affect the routes of Homesite, Fortune Towne, FF Gonzaga, Sta. Fe, San Dionisio, Granada to Central Market.
From the point of origin via the Burgos Street, public utility vehicle drivers should make a right turn to Ylac Street, left turn to Ilang-Ilang Street, left turn to LN Agustin Drive (Malaspina Street), left turn to Lopez-Jaena Street., right turn to Burgos Street, and point of destination.
For eastbound private vehicles going to Rolling Hills Memorial Park and Palm Haven Memorial Park, they have an option to take Galo Street, left turn to 4th Road, then right turn to Burgos Street, to their point of destination.
Also, there will no parking of vehicles along Burgos Ext., on both sides, fronting Rolling Hills Memorial Park and Palm Haven Memorial Park.
Southbound vehicles passing along Burgos Ext. from the memorial park, have an option to turn right to Sofia Gonzaga Street and turn left to CL. Montelibano Drive, to their destination.*
