The Bacolod City Police Station 10 is on heightened alert following sightings of armed groups at the boundary of Bacolod, Murcia, and Bago near the economic highway.
Station 10 Commander Capt. Sherwin Galupar said that based on their intelligence monitoring, armed groups have been sighted conducting surveillance work in the area since last month.
He debunked reports that the police station might be attacked by the armed group, who are not residents of Bacolod City.
Galupar said that the mere sightings of this armed group are already a threat to them that is why they heightened their security and intelligence work.
They already reported the alleged threat to City Police Director Col. Joeresty Coronica, he said.
Galupar assured the public of police readiness and that there is nothing to be worried about.*
