
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director, Col. Joeresty Coronica, said on Thursday, Feb. 5, that he is set to be transferred to the Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO NIR).
Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya said that he will announce his choice for the next Bacolod police director soon. He will select Coronica’s replacement from a list provided by the Philippine National Police.
Coronica visited Gasataya at the Bacolod City Government Center for an exit call on Thursday, Feb. 5.
During the meeting, Coronica expressed his gratitude to the mayor for the city government’s continuous support of the Bacolod City Police Office throughout his tenure

Coronica said he has headed the BCPO for one year, six months, and 13 days, and is now up for transfer for further career development.
He is waiting for an official order on his transfer, which he expects could be issued this week or next week.
Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, head of PRO NIR, has already sent a list of potential replacements to the mayor. The final choice for his successor will be up to the mayor, Coronica said.*
